IOSH Managing Safely
Agility are an accredited IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) Health and Safety training provider who can offer courses in-house or externally. Managing safely is for managers and supervisors in any sector, and any organisation. It’s designed to get managers up to speed on the practical actions needed to handle health and safety in their teams.

The course will give managers and supervisors the knowledge and tools to tackle the health and safety issues they are responsible for. Importantly, it brings home just why health and safety is such an essential part of their job.

Successful delegates will be awarded an IOSH Managing safely certificate.

Manual Handling
Back injuries can affect people in all types of job, from all walks of life. More than a third of over three day injuries reported each year to the HSE and local authorities are caused by manual handling. Agility can offer training in the correct moving and handling techniques can reduce the likelihood of injury. Prevention is always better (and less expensive) than the resulting injuries.

Fire Awareness
Agility can offer training for employees on what to do in an emergency or fire. It is important that you understand the fire hazards within the workplace, methods of prevention and the types of fire extinguishers available.

Risk Assessment Training
Under health and safety legislation the main requirement for employers is to conduct suitable and sufficient risk assessment. Risk assessment is the cornerstone of a health and safety management system, and Agility can provide a Risk Assessment package to meet individual business needs.

We can also provide training, including practical exercises, giving delegates the ability to perform risk assessments in their own organisations.

Tailor-made Employee Safety Awareness Courses
We can develop tailor-made safety awareness courses for your employees, not only covering general safety but issues specific to your organisation. These can be provided as a presented course, or ready for you to present yourself.

Infection Control

One of the main issues in care establishments is infection control and how it can be prevented.  Here at Agility Health & Safety we have experienced trainers who are able to deliver tailor-made infection control courses to those in the care profession.

Food Hygiene

Poor food hygiene is the most common sign of food related illness within our communities, but risks are higher in care establishments.  We can offer food hygiene awareness training within your establishment, which can be tailor-made to suit the needs of your business.
